my worries...

I'm not usually an alarmist but this recent health issue has me unnerved, blown away and just plan scared.  I had a routine mammo on Sunday, 3/18 ~ yes, a Sunday!  I was in and out ~ cause really who else would want to do that on a Sunday morning.  I was just grateful that they offered a weekend day to get the test done!  It's been 2 years and now that I have insurance I'm catching up with all that needs to be done.   I went about my business until Tuesday when the phone rang and well, I don't always answer it at work ~ but I did...  The dreaded phone call ~ one that I've never even given much consideration until that day.   I pretty much went brain dead, numb, non functioning when the caller explained the call and that I needed to have further test done.   I couldn't even ask *why* ~ just *ok*, *ok*.

I've been reassured by many of my dear friends that have experienced the same thing and all turned out well for them ~ I'm truly holding these experiences to be what will be with me.  After being at another Dr. on Friday I found that I'm having 2 additional tests ~ a Digital Mammo and an Ultrasound.  Which reared my worries even more.....

The next two days are gonna be long and even longer will be the wait to hear whatever may be....

In loving memory....

The Broken Chain

We little knew that morning that
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
you did not go alone,
For part of us went with you,
the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories,
your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you,
your always at our side.
Our family chain is broken,
and nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
the chain will link again.

March 3 ~ March 4
I find myself reliving
two days of indescribable
moments
It's been 3 years,
life has forever changed...
each of us still feels
the heartache ~ the pain ~ the grief
of that devastating time in our family's life

Jake~
love you, miss you, always in my heart
